Lord Shri Krishna has said in the Gita that he has given complete freedom to man to do his deeds. He has even given this freedom to every man that he can choose his own deity or God. If he wants, he can even choose Satan. But after death, he will go to the one whom he worships. That man will go to the same Lok (world) after death which he worships. Lord Shri Krishna has said in the Gita that the person who worships Satan has to live in subtle body for a Kalpa, that is, he has to live in Pret Yoni. And those souls live in Pret Yoni till the end of the Kalpa and roam on the earth and keep on wandering here and there in the world of that Satan. They wait for God in yearning. When God will incarnate at the end of the Kalpa, then those evil souls and Satan will be saved after being killed by him like Kalki God will incarnate. Because Satan is also God’s creation. Since he challenges God’s authority, this is what happens to him.
What you normally call soul is not soul, it is subtle body. Because subtle body feels hunger and thirst. In Gita, Lord Shri Krishna has told about three bodies of human being. Gross body, subtle body and causal body. Soul is same for all. A person gets the result according to the deeds he does. That is why you see that some get more happiness and some get more sorrow. It is not that God directly dropped a man in someone’s womb and sent him directly to earth. He passes through 84 lakh births and takes birth in human birth. Then if he does bad deeds, in next birth he becomes an animal or a chicken, then he will go to slaughter house and then he will be slaughtered. Then again he will go through a long phase to live a human life.
You can offer flowers, cannabis, dhatura, sweets, anything to God or any deity. If you wish, you can even offer sacrifice. There are some Gods who see your devotion. You can even offer them meat and alcohol if you wish, but not all Gods. God’s powers are in all three gunas. Sattva guna, Rajo guna, Tamo guna. But the devil is only of Tamo guna. That is, the devil needs blood. That is, the devil always needs sacrifice. Whether of a human or an animal. He is interested in blood. It is also heard that those who worship the devil cut some of their body parts and shed a little blood. Or they worship the devil by sacrificing something. Without sacrificing blood or life for the first time, they cannot become the devil’s representative or his priest.
If you are worshipping God, then worship one God or another, or don’t worship, or stop worshipping God after worshipping if your purpose is fulfilled, or worship them whenever you want, God doesn’t care, you can remove your sins and sorrows by worshipping God. If you start worshipping the devil once, then you cannot worship God. You should not worship anyone except the devil. This will make the devil angry. You should not bow down before any god. You should not even eat the prasad of any god. I remember that when I was young, someone I knew who used to worship some bad things, came to my maternal grandparents’ house to meet his child. When I gave him the prasad, he took the prasad but threw it away secretly.
You can worship God by following rules or without any rules. If you are punctual then it is fine, if not then it is also fine. But once you worship the devil then you have to worship him very strictly. Because God has given very little time to the devil. God is kind. He has given some time and the devil is worshipped at that time or in that Muhurat, the worship done before or after that Muhurat does not affect the devil. He has to follow very strict rules. When someone worships the devil, then he has to worship more than the worshippers of God. And that too by being punctual. And if you add new people in this kind of worship then the devil will be happy. As the number of worshippers of the devil increases, his power increases.
If you worship anyone, his powers increase. That is why you should not worship anyone other than God. Worship only those who are mentioned in our religious texts.
