Importance of kumarika Kanya in Tantra Sadhana

Why Kumarika Kanya in Tantric Siddhi?

Many misconceptions are prevalent about Tantra Shastra. Especially regarding Pancha ‘Makar’ Sadhana, in which there is description of Matsya (fish), Madira (liquor), mudra, Maithun etc. For this reason, there have been attacks on kumarika kanya and Maithun from time to time.

In fact, the meaning of these words was not literal but secret, in which the importance of a kumarika kanya was related to the magnetic force inherent in women.

The more a ferminine comes in contact with a masculine, the more her magnetic power gets eroded. Magnetic power is the primary power by which sexual power is converted into soul power. This power merges into two centres.

First of all, in the Muladhar Chakra, from where this energy flows down through the path of the genitals and merges into nature and if this same energy flows upwards from the Ajna Chakra located between the eyebrows, then it gets integrated with Brahma located in Sahasrara.

Therefore, the Tantrik does not use a kumarika kanya to attain physical pleasure with the help of her power, but to attain union with Brahma by consecrating her in the form of Bhairavi.

Why are feminine important in Tantra Sadhana?

It is mentioned in Nasadiya Sukta of Rig Veda (Ashtak 8, Man. 10 Su. 129) that in the beginning there was darkness and water predominated and the world originated from water only. ‘Naar’ is a synonym for water.

At the time of creation, Vishnu sits on a bed of water and is called Narayan and at that time Brahma, situated on the ear of the lotus that blossoms from his navel, creates the world and the creation of a woman begins from the navel itself and her blossoming occurs below the navel. The creation takes place in Padma situated in the part of.

In the process of creation, both Narayana and woman are equally righteous and are complete with eight lotuses, whereas the man is only with seven lotuses, which is incomplete. For this reason, in Tantra Shastra, eight blood-coloured lotuses are present in the composition of Tantraraja Shriyantra, which is a symbol of the creation of woman or power.

In this Sriyantra, after the eight lotuses, the sixteen petaled lotus symbolizes the blossoming of the primal power of creation, ‘Chandra’, in the form of creation. Moon attains perfection in 16 arts. Accordingly, the mantra of Shodashi Devi is of 16 letters and there are 16 lotus petals in the Shriyantra. Accordingly, after the 27 day cycle, the woman again becomes a virgin form for rebirth on the 28th day.

This entire world is dualistic, born of Gemini and all its things are divided into male and female. The power of attraction between these two is the basis of the existence of the world, which Adi Shankaracharya has expressed in the first verse of Soundarya Lahari.

शिव:शक्तया युक्तो यदि भवति शक्त: प्रभवितुं।

न चेदेवं देवो न खलु कुशल: स्पन्दितुमपि।

This attraction is the sexual power which is called Adishakti in Tantra. It is one of the traditional Purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha). According to Tantra Shastra, woman is the embodiment of this primal power. The presence of a woman is mandatory in Shatchakra piercing and Tantra Sadhana, because Sadhana is possible only through the subtle body and not through the physical body.
