Khechari Mudra

Khechari Sadhana: Wonderful Mysterious

Khechari Mudra is the darshan of the middle of the eyebrows with the tongue entering the skull hole.

Continuously circulate the tip of the tongue, piercing the nerve below the tongue that joins the tongue and its root. By doing this every day the tongue becomes bigger. By practicing systematically, lengthen the tongue so much that it reaches the middle of the eyebrows. The tongue should be gradually moved to the palate. The pit at the root of the palate is called ‘Kapalkuhar’. The tongue should be placed upside down in the middle of the skull and the space between the eyebrows should be continuously looked at. This method and legislation is ‘Khechari Mudra’.

The practitioner of Yoga should overcome various types of obstacles or nuisances related to Sadhana and become Vajrasana, should firmly control the gaze between the eyebrows and should reverse the Rasna in the trough located above the Lambika and should make effort and combine it in Sudhakup (palate cavity which is like a well of nectar). This Khechari Mudra is going to provide all the achievements.

If the seeker continues to practice this, he starts drinking nectar. His body becomes mature and strong. This Khechari Mudra is like a literal lion for the elephant in the form of death. No matter how impure a seeker may be, if his Khechari Mudra becomes perfect then he becomes pure in all situations. The yogi who practices this Khechari Mudra even for half a moment, crosses the ocean of sin and tastes all the divine pleasures. Even if he has to take birth, he takes birth in a pure family only.

For the yogi who practices this mudra with a healthy mind and without any carelessness, even if hundreds of Brahma’s periods have passed, it appears to be just half a moment. The seeker who becomes perfect in this Khechari through the teachings of the Guru, attains the ultimate goal despite being engaged in various sinful activities. This Mudra should not be preached to everyone (anyone), only a worthy seeker is entitled to practice it. This mudra should be kept confidential with great care.

The seeker should cut the root of his tongue a little once in seven days and apply butter on it and tap the tongue every day and pull it and make it so big that it reaches the eyebrow and then turn it upside down inside the mouth. After placing it in the skull cavity, the windpipe should also be closed for some time.

By doing this, the nectar falling from the moon does not fall into the fire located at the base, and starts receiving it by the seeker himself, due to which he becomes victorious over death by conquering all the poisons of death etc. At this time the Yogi should fix his eyes in the middle of Trikuti. One should also keep doing Shambhavi Mudra.

Activities involved in the practice of Khechari Mudra -1. Stable establishment of the tongue in the skull. 2. To stabilize vision between the two eyebrows.

Other sublingual activities are – piercing of the tongue, movement of the tongue and tapping of the tongue. Vyomachakra and Shambhavi Mudra are the main factors in the practice of Khechari Mudra. When the tongue gets elongated from Chhedanadi, it is necessary to stabilize the tongue in the cranial cavity through the three nadis (Vyoma Chakra).

Holding the tongue with the thumb and forefinger of the hand, shaking it left and right and using the thumb and forefinger like tapping the tongue should be done until it touches the middle part of the eyebrows. The nerve at the root of the tongue should be cut (pierced) at the size of a hair with a sharp, smooth and clean weapon like a Snuhi (Sehund) leaf.

After this piercing, the root of the tongue should be completely rubbed with powdered salt (Sandhav) and myrobalan and the piercing and friction should be done every morning and evening for seven days. Use of salt is prohibited for yogis. In its place, Khadir (Kateha) and Pathya powder should be taken.

After seven days have passed, the hairy root of the tongue should be cut (pierced) again on the eighth day; But this time also (more than the first time) only the hair root should be cut (incised).

The actions of the tongue in Khechari Mudra are – piercing, driving, tapping and tongue placement.

After this, turn the tongue upside down and place it in the cavity of the skull and drink the nectar secreted from the moon situated in Brahmarandhra (by snatching it from the underworld Sun). In this, the fifth step is to establish vision in the middle of the eyebrows.

When Khechari Mudra is accomplished, the following results and accomplishments are visible – 1. ‘Freedom from disease, death, old age and the effects of snake-scorpio-bite poison caused by dhatu vishmya by the stability of the tongue in the palpebral fissure’. 2. Freedom from disease, death, drowsiness, sleep, hunger, thirst, unconsciousness etc.

3. Freedom from disease and suffering, results of karma and the effects of time. 4. Point-of-constancy-sublimation of the point.

Yogi’s moment also remains stable in the hole above the palate, he remains free from the poisonous effects of different types of metals – disease and death – old age and scorpion-serpent-bite.

That Yogi, who knows Khechari Mudra, remains free from disease, death and the evil effects of the Tamoguni nature of conscience like drowsiness, sleep, hunger, thirst and (Tamogunatmik) unconsciousness etc. and all their conditions. That yogi never suffers from the pain of disease and neither does he get tied in the noose of time.

The Yogi who has covered the upper opening (Kapalkuhar) of the Lambika (palate) with Khechari Mudra remains unperturbed even by the soft touch of Kaminis and his Venus (sand) never gets eroded. Its Bindu (Venus) never falls below the head. Even if its point is mobile and falls into the Madanagaar, then the Yogi pulls it up with the help of Vajroli Kriya through Yonimudra (restriction of genitals) and brings it back to the forehead through the Sushumna path.

The yogi who drinks the Chandramrit falling in the Kapalkuhar (drinks the Piyush falling in the vertical hole), that yogi who knows yoga conquers death within fifteen days. If a Yogi whose body is filled with Chandrakala (nectar) daily, even if Takshak snake bites his body, its poison has no effect on his body.

Just as fire keeps getting wood, it never gets extinguished and if the lamp gets oil, it also never gets extinguished; In the same way, if the body continues to receive Somakalaka nectar falling from the Brahmarandhra, then the soul never leaves such a body, that is, such a body receiving nectar becomes a mortal, it goes beyond the noose of death. That is why it is prescribed for a Yogi to eat beef and consume Varuni (Sura) every day.

Gomans – Eating beef does not mean eating the meat of an animal called cow; The root of the tongue has to be cut to the thickness of the sutra every seven days. Since in this method the flesh of the tongue has to be cut; Hence its metaphorical meaning became ‘flesh eating’. But this meaning also did not express its implication and its meaning has only been accepted as inserting the tongue into the palate region – this yogic sadhana (Khecharigat) eating beef destroys even the biggest sins.

Amarvaruni

The wine of the gods or the wine that bestows immortality, but in reality it is not a sura (liquor) at all, rather it is the nectar extracted from the moon situated in Brahmarandhra. After the Khechari Mudra is accomplished, the above mentioned Urdhvajihna Yogi starts drinking the above mentioned Piyush (secreted from Brahmarandhra). This nectar emanating from Brahmarandhrastha moon is famous in the story of Amarvaruni.

khechari meaning

In fact, the word Khechari denotes movement in the sky. Khechari means – the one who does or causes ‘charan’ (transmission) in ‘Bha’ (sky). Through this mudra, the mind (conscience) moves in the space situated between the eyebrows and the tongue also moves in the middle of the brows, hence the one who conducts the transmission in this ‘B’ (space) (both the mind and the tongue) The posture which stabilizes the sky is called Khechari. The posture by which the tongue moves in the sky located between the eyebrows is called Khechari.

During the practice of this posture, if the yogi’s tongue suddenly touches the vertical opening of the palate and drinks Chandrakalamrit, then the yogi remains free from all the diseases, old age and the effects of weapons and also attains immortality. He also attains spiritual achievements and attracts perfect beauties towards himself.

The yogi who, while meditating on the Supreme Power Kundalini by taking his tongue to the skull (talurandhra) and turning his tongue upwards, drinks the nectar falling in the throat of Shodashadal Padma obtained from the means of Pranavayu and Hatha Yoga, he becomes free from diseases and his body becomes like a lotus river. It becomes as soft as water, and it remains alive forever with a body filled with nectar.

Chandrakalamrit (Praleya) water resides in Kapalkuhar situated in the vertical part of Meru (Sushumna). In it, a scholar beyond Tama and Rajoguna and full of Satoguna realizes the essence of the Self. This cavity is the origin place of the major vital nerves like Sushumna, Ida, Pingala etc. The essence of the body is Chandramrit. It becomes liquid and descends and falls into the face of the Sun. This action of stopping this nectar from falling down is Khechari Kriya. Through this one attains Kayasiddhi (immortality of the body).

The cavity (Kapal-Kuhar) with the five sources of the nadis (filled with the flow of the Ida etc. nadis) is also the origin place of knowledge. Khechari Mudra becomes stable in that void in the form of void. There is only one creative seed. Among the currencies, there is only one major currency and that is Khechari. There is only one God who is baseless and has no joy. There is only one supreme state and that is – ‘Manonmani’.

Gherand Rishi’s opinion

The Yogi who has perfected Khechari Mudra has no fear of unconsciousness, hunger, thirst, laziness, disease, old age and old age, because these cannot affect the Yogi. Neither fire can burn such a yogi nor air can dry him. Neither water can wet it nor a snake can bite it.

By accomplishing this Mudra, divine radiance emerges in the body of the Yogi. Through this, due to the combination of Kapal and Rasna, many Rasas emerge and a higher state of Yoga like Samadhi is achieved. It is through this combination of Rasna that many Rasas are produced.

Not only this, through this posture, unique juices flow through the tongue and special pleasure is obtained. Due to this, the juices like salty, pungent, astringent etc. are released. Along with this, one also experiences the taste of butter, ghee, curd, milk, milk, honey, grapes and nectar.
