बगला सिद्धविद्या च मातङ्गी कमलात्मिका।

This entire universe is the result of the Panchakrityaparayana Shakti, the sole and exclusive cause of all. Our sages have experienced the full manifestations of this power in the above mentioned ten forms. Among these ten Mahavidyas, the form and means of Bhagwati Chhinnamasta is very mysterious and rare. The seed of Bhagwati Tara and Chhinnamasta is the same and the order of worship of both of them is the same from Nature-Distortion-Justice.

प्रचण्ड-चण्डिका वक्ष्ये सर्व-काम-फल-प्रदाम्।

यस्या: स्मरणमात्रेण सदाशिवो भवेन्नर:।।

अपुत्रो लभते पुत्रम् ऽधनी धनवान् भवेत्।

कवित्वं दीर्घ-पांडित्यं लभते नात्र संसय:।।

A very interesting story has been described in the scriptures about Bhagwati Chhinnamasta – Prachanda Chandika – satisfying the hunger of her hunger-stricken companions by piercing her own head. In fact, the three streams of blood flowing from Bhagwati’s head represent the piercing of the glands.

There is Brahma-granthi in Muladhar, Vishnu-granthi in Manipur and Rudra-granthi in Ajna-chakra. We all know that without piercing these three glands, Advaitananda cannot be experienced and the seeker cannot attain complete bliss-like liberation.

It is said in Yoga that until the super power Kundalini pierces  the Ajna Chakra with Chitra, Vajrini and Brahma-nadi, the process of ‘piercing the skull’ which gives all success is not accomplished. Yoga-shastra is the biggest obstacle in this path. Accepts the slow pace of work. Bhagwati Chhinna’s viparita-rati-yukt kama form indicates this fact:

Perhaps after reading this article all of you are thinking of starting Bhagwati Chhinnamasta with the help of a Guru in the form of a book, then be careful. The intricacies of this instrument cannot be known from a guru in the form of a book. For example, the method of worshiping Bhagwati Chhinnamasta is different for householders and for Yatis. If child-like playfulness is shown without knowing these nuances, it will only lead to disaster.

छिन्नमस्तां महाविद्यामक्षरात्म-स्वरूपिणीम्।

विद्युदग्नि-समुद्भूतां प्रसुप्त-भुजगी-तनुम्।।

कुण्डली-रूप-संयुक्तां नाना-तत्व-समन्विताम्।

त्रिवली-वलयोपेतां नाना-स्थान-कृतां शुभाम्।।
